I'm both intrigued and possibly will check this manga out.

Is it anything like the Rabbit Doubt series of manga or a mashup of Chrono Crusades and Gun smith cats?

As for manga itself, well, I'm only more or less familiar with Chrno Crusade, but judging by what I see on wiki - no, it's neither a wolf game from Doubt nor anything bounty hunter/fighting crime related like Gunsmith Cats. Major spoilers aside, Highrise Invasion is about a "fight for power or die" game with players having different roles in it.

They definitely seem like good buds and she seems pretty laid back.

Which is a good thing because heaven help anyone if they made her mad and she went Godzilla on them.

All in all, this is very good.
